Brian is the father of 2 spirited daughters that keep him inspired and exhausted. He started Fathering Together as a way to better connect and learn from his fellow dads. During the work day, you can find him working at IFYC as a Student Leadership Manager where he trains undergraduate students to build bridges across lines of religious difference.
Dr. Lawrence Chatters currently serves as the Vice President for Student Affairs at Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska. Dr. Chatters holds a Doctorate and a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from The University of Nebraska-Lincoln.. Dr. Chatters is an avid reader, entrepreneur, Rap Artist, and International DJ. He is most proud of his family, which consists of his two daughters aged 15 and 11, and his partner of 15 years, Katie.
Dr. Chatters has been engaged in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work for the past 13 years. Through a range of professional experiences including a diversity concentration in his post-doctoral fellowship at Penn State University, his role as the diversity and inclusion coordinator for the Nebraska Athletic Department, and his position as the men’s program coordinator in the Women’s Center at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, to name a few. Dr. Chatters’ dissertation focused on ways to better engage African American students at predominantly white institutions.
Chris is the father of 2 daughters that are now in their tweens and teens. He started Dad of Divas, a blog to share his own personal experiences in being a father in 2007 and in 2018 started the Dads With Daughters Facebook Group to allow dads to connect, learn and grow together. He works in Digital Media on a daily basis, but also has over 20 years of experience in higher education administration.
Tim Cox is the father of a beautiful and outgoing 4-year-old daughter. He spends his days working in marketing and his nights singing princess songs, playing hide and seek, and performing for Mommy as a part of the Daddy/Daughter Ballet Company. He believes that we should never stop learning how to be a better father and really enjoys the mentorship aspect of Fathering Together.
Bo is the father of a toddler boy and infant girl. He utilizes his MBA in his daily work as a risk analyst, while still considering himself to be a student in fatherhood every day. He enjoys seeing the world through his children’s eyes and trying to make sure he spends as much time in their world, instead of asking them to be in his. When he discovered Fathering Together he said that “It is a place to find resources and support that are not readily available to many fathers” and stated that “I am excited to help grow the community to help as many fathers as possible”.
David Johnstone, is the group’s Subgroups Administrator for Dads with Daughters. He lives and works within the automotive manufacturing industry in Detroit. He is a 3rd generation UAW employee, on the way to becoming 3rd generation skilled trades worker. He has been married for 8 years, with two daughters, 7yo and 4mo. The subgroups he is most invested in are the Gamer Dads and RPG Dads subgroups. He has been video gaming since 1988, with Super Mario Bros. on the NES. He has been tabletop gaming since 2005 with some experience in every D&D edition released. His oldest daughter identifies as a “Gamer,” and they have a Youtube channel called “CatandFam Gamer TV” where they play Minecraft and other games together!
